Creating A Perfect Smile

Hi there, I'm Caylee Curtis. After going through orthodontic therapy during childhood, I started paying close attention how a nice smile can increase beauty. With appearance improvements, comes a huge confidence boost that can also bolster your looks. Upon making that discovery, I started researching all of the different ways people can create a gorgeous smile. As it turns out, dentists play a huge role creating a gorgeous smile by fixing tooth and jaw alignment issues. Dentists may recommend that their patients obtain braces, retainers or veneers that improve tooth placement or color. I will use this site to share information about these procedures and more. I hope to help you decide if these procedures are worth your time and money or if you should find a different option for your situation. Please visit often and check out my content to learn more information.

Got A Mouth Full Of Blood? Three Natural And Effective Ways To Help Your Mouth Heal From Periodontal Disease

Almost half of all Americans suffer from periodontal disease. This disease causes inflammation and bleeding of the gums. It can be caused for a variety of reasons, but the most common one is a lack in dental hygiene. Being diagnosed with periodontal disease isn't a death sentence for your teeth. There are actually several ways you can help aid the healing process while reducing the inflammation and bleeding of your gums. Even better, these simple remedies come in the form of ingredients that are probably already hiding in your kitchen.

Black Tea

One of better tasting solutions you can use to help reverse the damage caused by periodontal disease and promote a healthy dental lifestyle is black tea. Black tea is full of tannic acid. Tannic acid works by reducing the amount of harmful bacteria that grows in your mouth. When bacteria stays on your teeth, it eats away at your gums, which is why you experience the inflammation and bleeding.

Let a black tea bag seep in hot water for several minutes and then apply it directly to your gums. Let your gums absorb the juices in the tea bag for ten minutes and then rinse your mouth with your regular mouthwash. You can even drink the tea for added protection.

Cucumber Slices

Cucumbers are a go-to ingredient for several self-healing remedies because they are full of healing properties. Cucumbers can be used to reduce inflammation and swelling in your gums. By reducing the inflammation and swelling, you are also reducing the pain and giving your mouth time to heal from this dental disease.

Cut a cucumber into very thin slices and tuck them between your cheeks and gums. Hold them in place for ten minutes and let the juices seep into your gums. You can do this several times a day as the inflammation and swelling persists.

Garlic

Pure garlic isn't very appetizing for everyone, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Garlic is full of healing properties that fights infections caused by bacteria. This natural ingredient is full of allicin, which is a natal anti-bacterial. The anti-bacterial properties will kill off the bacteria that causes your gums to bleed and help protect your mouth from future infections.

Smash a garlic clove into a small amount of olive oil. Gently massage the solution directly into your gums and let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes. You can rinse your mouth out with your regular mouthwash if you don't like the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Periodontal disease is a common, but serious dental condition. There are several steps that you can take that will help reverse the damage done by this disease, while protecting your mouth from further infection. By using one or all of the solutions listed above, your mouth will be on it's way to being healthier in no time. To learn more, contact a dental clinic like Centre Family Dentistry
