Creating A Perfect Smile

Hi there, I'm Caylee Curtis. After going through orthodontic therapy during childhood, I started paying close attention how a nice smile can increase beauty. With appearance improvements, comes a huge confidence boost that can also bolster your looks. Upon making that discovery, I started researching all of the different ways people can create a gorgeous smile. As it turns out, dentists play a huge role creating a gorgeous smile by fixing tooth and jaw alignment issues. Dentists may recommend that their patients obtain braces, retainers or veneers that improve tooth placement or color. I will use this site to share information about these procedures and more. I hope to help you decide if these procedures are worth your time and money or if you should find a different option for your situation. Please visit often and check out my content to learn more information.

2 Kid-Friendly Dental Rinses To Protect Your Child From Developing Periodontal Disease

Poor dental care can result in the buildup of plaque and tartar around your child's gumline. This buildup will cause their gums to bleed each time that they brush their teeth. In addition, their gums will appear swollen and red. This can eventually lead to periodontal disease and early tooth loss. Periodontal disease causes the gums to recede and will result in loose teeth. If your child's gums recede too far, then their teeth will end up falling out. As a result, it is important to be meticulous in your child's dental care to make sure that plaque and tartar are removed when you first notice signs of it. Luckily, there are a few natural dental rinses that can help you to do this.

Chamomile and Lemon Dental Rinse

Chamomile is a common herbal ingredient that is used in teas in order to treat sickness. The herb also has relaxant properties that promote stress throughout the body. In addition, chamomile contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that are effective at warding off infection and eliminating bacteria growth. A chamomile and lemon rinse can be created by adding fresh chamomile to hot water.

Allow the herb steep for a few minutes. Once the mixture cools, add a few drops of lemon juice from a fresh lemon. The lemon is added in order to give the dental rinse a fresh scent. Allow your child to swish the dental rinse around in their mouth for a few minutes before removing it. Use this rinse after every meal in order to remove any bacteria or food that may be lingering.

Blueberry Dental Rinse

Blueberries are considered to be a superfood because they are packed with nutrients. The fruit contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that make it ideal for treating open wounds and killing bacteria. Blueberries can be added to smoothies in order to treat dental issues or you can create your own dental rinse. A simple blueberry rinse can be created by placing a few handfuls of fresh blueberry in a blender and adding twice as much water.

The mixture should be blended until the consistency is watery. Once done, place the mixture in a pot and boil it. Remove the mixture and use it to rinse your child's mouth once it has cooled. Allow the mixture to sit in your child's mouth for a few minutes before removing it. A blueberry rinse should be used in the morning and night in order to prevent bacteria growth and infection.

Periodontal disease does not occur overnight. Instead, repeated periods of poor dental care will help to speed up the process. Therefore, use these tips to make sure your child's teeth remain clean and infection-free. Contact your dentist like Denise McGrade DDS for more information.
